I have been reading about the schoolgirls being held by Boko Haram and all I can say is it makes my blood boil. I would like to go over there A-Team style and rescue them, but since that isn't an option for me, I will do what I can do. As artists, we have the supreme duty to speak truth to power. We cannot be silent; we have to say something.
We must compel our politicians, as well as the Nigerian government to act, as I have already done. We must write letters of protest, sign petitions, and most importantly, we must create artwork that will bring attention to this crisis and compel others to act.
