Artists Needed for some spec work

Hi, Ben Avery here. I'm a writer. I've written a couple things and work with Community Comics. Recently, it may seem like Community hasn't been doing much, and it's true Community hasn't been doing much as "Community", but we have been doing a lot of behind the scenes work (Zondervan's Z Graphic Novels being the heaviest portion of our work load.)I'm looking for a couple artists to work on two Bible-era stories. One of the stories is a short story. The other is longer, sort of . . . it's completing Sherwin Schwartzrock's and my Absalom's Revenge from years back. Sherwin drew the first sixteen or so pages, and thumbnailed the next sixteen pages. I'm going to write a short ending. So for that story, I need someone who will use Sherwin's thumbnails and then go from my script to create new pages. Both of these are for a new Community Comics project, which will involve putting it on the web and then selling it via electronic readers and such. That's why it's spec. We expect some pay will be involved, but not upfront.I can't seem to start a thread in "collaborations", so if I'm out of line posting this, please feel free to remove this thread.

  • Sweet. They both sound like Juicy stories. Wish I had the time to get involved. What are the deadlines on these? I am really enjoying your ArmourQuest Graphic Novel at the moment, by the way.

It's an eight page story about Nebuchandezzer's (sorry about the spelling) going wild. "THE BEAST KING".
