Adventures In Odyssey Movie

I have been thinking about this for a year now, and I wonder what you guys feel about it. My two daughters love the adventures in odyssey cartoon episodes, and listen to it in the car with my wife sometimes...

I baffles me that a Focus on the Family, or even that church that did Fireproof doesn't jump at the opportunity to make a movie (live) based on this franchise. It obviously has a decent following, with even a "known" name to people who are not christian. A faith/moral based movie, with decent acting, and a good storyline. I think this movie would do VERY well. God knows kids today need something like this.

Even if they did a comedy live show with teens (something that aimed at Hannah Montana fans age range) that shows teens can have fun, be goofy, but not have to dress certain way, or fall for pressure..

Any ideas or thoughts on this? any actors you think would fit?

discuss....

I sort of thought maybe Richard Dreyfuss would make a good whit!

My friend and I talked about this the other day, and think that teens really need something like this, an adventure, with teen situations, not too preachy, but some good lessons to be learned.

I emailed Focus on the Family a year or 2 ago suggesting they turn it into a movie (theatre or tv).

    As far as actors go.....

Emily Osment would make a good Connie Kendall.

Whit is the toughest role to cast. My wife and I will see someone in a movie or tv show and think, he would make a great Whit, But of course, right now I can't think of any of them!
